Palm Kernel Expeller (PKE) is a by-product of palm oil processing that is used as animal feed. PKE is produced through the processing of the kernel (core) of palm fruit to extract palm oil. After the oil extraction process, the remaining kernel particles are processed into PKE. Palm kernel shel is highly valued for its calorific properties, making it an excellent alternative to fossil fuels. It has a high energy content and can be efficiently burned to produce heat and electricity. The combustion of PKS results in lower emissions compared to conventional fuels, making it a more environmentally friendly option.
